We love animals, esspecially dogs
and we are in love with great danes.
From this love emerged an idea of our own kennel  -great danes kennel.
The idea came true in the year 2006.
The kennel name is PULSATILLA  GRANDIS,
its founders are brothers Zvonko and Damijan Gotlin

Damijan - also the president of Section for great danes.

We come from Slovenia,
from a well known tourist and spa town of
Rogaška Slatina, more exactly from a small village  Cerovec under the hill Boč.
Local esspeciality gave our kennel its name.
Pulsatilla grandis has a double meaning.
Pulsatilla grandis is a flower, growing only on Boč,  velikonočnica protected flower
which is on a red list of endangered plants.
Latin name in slovene also means 'big and hairy',
which our dogs definetly are.

Our dog story began in childhood.
Dogs always lived in our neighbourhood
and at our home.
At first mixed breeders,
then a few Saint Bernard Dogs
and now our long awaited wish - great danes.
The decision for breeding this breed
is based on a great simpathy for this amazing dog.
We were convinced by its character and
appearance as well as other at first hidden details.
We set ourselves a goal of always improoving the  quality of the breed in Slovenia and abroad and its  popularisation in a positive sense. Time and results will  show how successful we will be.

Working with dogs and running a kennel
demands a lot of work. Our family and friends
represent the basic source of help.

In this kennels we searched for and found
female great danes of excellent pedigrees
on which we build our kennel.
